Charter Boats & Tackle for Fishing in the Everglades

What kind of Boat will we be fishing from?

Option #1 - Ranger Bay 2300 with 225 hp Mercury four stroke

We will be fishing from a 23ft Bay Boat made by Ranger Boats. This boat is extremely well equipped with all the options that will make your adventure one to remember. The boat is rigged with a t-top and tower with full controls. The hull of the boat is foam filled for excellent flotation. It is on-line with all up-to-date electronics! There is plenty of room for sitting or standing depending on what the individual angler’s preference is, and I have 2 pedestal seats for anglers to fish from if they so choose. For me, the choice of fishing boat was easy. I chose the boat that is best suited for keeping anglers comfortable while simultaneously taking advantage of its ability to maneuver the fishing environment with ease and stability! I know you will enjoy it!

Option #2 - Pro Sports 17ft flats boat with 115hp Mercury four stroke

This boat is limited to two anglers. Aboard this boat we will sight fish for snook and redfish in the shallow waters of the Everglades National Park.

What type of tackle will we use?

Tackle is the angler’s bread and butter. Therefore I have provided professional reels and rods for you to use. We will be using Penn Sargus 4000 Reels on 7ft Ciego Bay Rods for light tackle. These reels are spooled with 15lb Red Braided Line and 20-40lb Fluorocarbon Leader. For heavier tackle we will be using Penn Sargus 5000 Reels on 7ft Team Diawa Rods. These reels are spooled with 30lb Red Braided Line with 30-60lb Fluorocarbon Leader. This tackle is offered for you to use however if you wish to use your own, feel free to do so. If anyone brings their own tackle and needs assistance rigging I also would be more than happy to help. No matter what, I am here to provide you with an unmatched, unforgettable experience!
